About our project
Support us in opening a new kindergarten and a new primary school in the Horgen (Kilchberg) district based on Montessori education. We have qualified teachers, suitable facilities and interested students. However, in order to take the final steps towards the construction and commissioning of this school, we depend on your support.
What is this project about
This project aims to open the first multilingual Montessori school in the Horgen (Kilchberg) district to offer children in this region an alternative learning method. We would also like this method to be open to children from families with limited financial resources in the future. To make this possible we will raise money every year. Montessori pedagogy is an educational method that has been proven for 100 years and is based on self-directed activities, practical learning and cooperative play. One of the key points is to provide children with a prepared environment through highly qualified teachers that focuses on their individual needs, interests and talents. The focus is on respectful relationships, independent work and social interaction. Support us in making this school a reality and thus bringing this proven learning method to the Horgen (Kilchberg) district.
What are the goals and who are the target groups?
Our goal is to use the funds collected to open a multilingual preschool (3-6 years) and elementary school (6-12 years) based on Montessori education in the Horgen (Kilchberg) district. Specifically, we are planning to open the kindergarten in August 2024 and the primary school by August 2025 at the latest. With this crowdfunding campaign we want to strengthen the start-up community and parents can secure their children's places as students now. In line with Maria Montessori's vision and thanks to the support of the supporting association Casa Montessori as well as annual donations, we strive to make the school accessible to children from families with limited financial resources. The target group addressed by this project includes parents and families who are looking for an alternative and holistic educational opportunity for their children. Our initiative focuses on creating an inspiring learning environment for preschool and primary school children. In addition, our project is also aimed at educators and educational specialists who are interested in Maria Montessori's method and would like to actively participate in the implementation of this proven educational concept. While the information primarily addresses parents, it is important to emphasize that teachers are also a significant target group for our project.
